About the costume

So, I had a great idea in December 2025 to make new uniforms for my little sub-crew of the Anime North Masquerade staff to replace the Spirited Away bathhouse uniforms that we had been wearing for almost a decade. It was a less great idea when May arrived and I had barely started on them and the con was in three weeks. But a couple weeks of late nights and hard work—including my parents helping press seams and pleats the night before the con and a hemming party on Friday night of the con—and all five palace maids were done just in time.

The hanfu were based off patterns from Newhanfu.com (Zhongyi and Banbi) with a few variations to make them more accurate to the show.
